– Appears to be primary topic per all-time page views, nearest competitor Lynn "Red" Williams is a redirect. Hameltion (talk | contribs) 02:58, 30 March 2023 (UTC) This is a contested technical request (permalink). Steel1943 (talk) 03:15, 30 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Hameltion: I'm contesting this since it needs to go to full discussion since you are requesting the article be moved for a reason that is not technical in nature (WP:PRIMARYTOPIC). In addition, Lynn Williams would need to be moved to Lynn Williams (disambiguation), which is not part of this request (which makes sense since only one page can be requested to be moved in the template). However, I'm unable (or, should I say, "unallowed") to create the discussion since you marked "discuss=no". Do you want this to go to full discussion, or would you rather remove the request? Steel1943 (talk) 03:02, 30 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Steel1943: Already did the disambiguation move, was trying boldly to do a pair of PRIMARYTOPIC moves. Discussion is OK, but I figured this was pretty clear cut. Hameltion (talk | contribs) 03:09, 30 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Hameltion: Possibly, but there could be someone with a dissenting view who could have valid input to provide via such a move discussion. Well, since moving to discussion has your permission, I'll get that started here in a bit. Steel1943 (talk) 03:10, 30 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Hameltion: Discussion opened. Steel1943 (talk) 03:13, 30 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Steel1943, you are way faster than me - I was writing out an appeal to WP:BOLD and WP:IAR just to make the move now, but I guess a discussion is fine haha. Hameltion (talk | contribs) 03:21, 30 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Hameltion: Yeah, I'm a bit of a speedster when it comes to this stuff ... even fixed the external link issue that breaks the RM template when it gets substituted. (No idea why that happens, and hopefully someone fixes it some day.) Steel1943 (talk) 03:27, 30 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. There are seven people (three men named "Lynn", two women named "Lynn" and two women named "Lynne") listed upon the Lynn Williams disambiguation page, with no clear indication that the female soccer player has gained such renown that she overwhelms the combined notability of the remaining six individuals. Also, as noted in the nomination, the stub for one of those six — football player and actor Lynn Williams a/k/a Red Williams — has been merged into one of his films, Mortal Kombat: Annihilation. —Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 07:40, 30 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose per Roman, not PRIMARYTOPIC. GiantSnowman 18:12, 30 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose - page views don't stand out properly - the peak was when the soccer one played in the Olympics in 2021 but most of the time they all get below 1000 a day. Page views would need to be consistently stand out in the most popular one. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 21:32, 30 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
    @Iggy the Swan: I don't know if this changes anything, but just noting that the logarithmic view shows that the soccer player averages 50-100 views, and no other article (except a redirect) gets close to 10. Hameltion (talk | contribs) 01:41, 31 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
    Oh yes good point.
    The ratio (something like around 10:1) seems to stand out better so I think Roman Spinner explains it better than I did. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 09:08, 31 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
