Does anyone know how the firm went into bankruptcy if it was one of the premier patent law firms during its heyday?

I was a patent drafter with the company just months before it went under. I wasn't there at the end, but my coworkers basically said, "too many partners". There were around 92 partners at the time, and I suppose it was difficult to make decisions. Pretty sad for a century-old company.--Metron4 (talk) 00:09, 21 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I was an attorney there and left shortly before the bankruptcy. There was a dispute between the old guard in the LA office (main office) and some of the newer, younger partners (particularly in the San Diego office) over how the profits should be split and the general direction of the firm. Almost the entire San Diego office left en masse for another firm as a result. Things quickly unraveled after that as more groups left for other firms. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 143.248.226.76 (talk) 02:26, 2 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
