GA review (see here for criteria)

  1. It is reasonably well written.
    a (prose): b (MoS):
    • "The rest of its route in the area passes through residential areas." should be reworded so "area" is not used twice.
    • "The Lodge" should not be used in the route description as it is a colloquialism.
    • The sentence "Then M-10 ran along the Saginaw Bay to Standish and turned to follow the Lake Huron shoreline, with some substantial deviations inland, as far as Alpena and Rogers City." sounds choppy and awkward.
    • The Department of Redundancy Department strikes again in the sentence "The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) petitioned the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials in 1985 to truncate US 10 to Bay City in 1985.", need to only mention the year once.
    • "Starting in 1924, official in southeastern Michigan proposed building a highway from Detroit to run northwesterly across the state to Ludington, bisecting the angle created by Woodward and Grand River avenues.", I'm assuming "official" should be plural.
  2. It is factually accurate and verifiable.
a (references): b (citations to reliable sources): c (OR):
  3. It is broad in its coverage.
    a (major aspects): b (focused):
    • Should mention how many lanes wide the route is throughout its length.
    • You should probably include a link to freeway somewhere in both the lead and the route description.
    • "the highway clips the corner of the city of Franklin ", what corner?
  4. It follows the neutral point of view policy.
    Fair representation without bias:
  5. It is stable.
    No edit wars, etc.:
  6. It is illustrated by images, where possible and appropriate.
a (images are tagged and non-free images have fair use rationales): b (appropriate use with suitable captions):
  7. Overall:
    Pass/Fail:

I will place the article on hold for some fixes to be made. Dough4872 03:29, 17 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Dough4872: fixes have been applied. There's a mini-lead in the RD section that was added to handle the lane counts, and the rest of the sentences were copy edited. Imzadi 1979  04:28, 17 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
With the fixes applied, I will now pass the article. Congratulations on getting all the M routes to GA or better! Dough4872 04:33, 17 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
