Untitled note[edit]

Note this is not a complete translation, and is fairly free. I have updated to include information such as his current position, and Thomson Reuters suggestion he might qualify for a Nobel Prize, and I have added references to his organisation's staff profiles. I have not included the handful of selected publications at the German Wikipedia site as they are probably an out-of-date reflection on his current total publications (an enormous list) and I wasn't sure of the equivalent to the German literatur tag. I can try to add a list of selected publications if it's considered useful, but I note it's often absent from articles on other academics.

I do believe that Finn is notable in WP terms. He holds a named chair, and is also editor-in-chief of a journal, both of which are grounds for inclusion. That his name has been mentioned in association with a Nobel Prize (even though he didn't in the event get one) suggests that his work has made a wide impression. I have no connection with him personally.
