I added this entry[edit]

I added this entry, and I'm not sure what the issue is in terms of neutrality. I've made some edits since my original post, but overall it gives a history of the company and what they do. I've also included a number of supporting links for each statement from sources like the NY Times, Boston Globe, etc...

Farecast isnt getting a Fair-cast on wikipedia[edit]

Agree, I've tried two previous attempts of adding this article and it was promptly deleted without discussion ( see here). --Conrad Kilroy 07:03, 14 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I presume the previous articles failed to show the notability of the company. An article without reliable sources of notability just looks like spam and is likely to be deleted very quickly. This is true for all articles, not just this company. Did you contest the deletion? Did you change the content of the new article you created after the first was deleted? By the time I tried to react, it was promptly delete without objection. --Conrad Kilroy 05:47, 16 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:Windows Live Search logo.png[edit]

The image Image:Windows Live Search logo.png is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --05:40, 5 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What happened now?[edit]

Farecast/Bing Travel now no longer features price advisories or flexible fare-finding, and says it is powered by Kayak? Was there some sort of lawsuit that just resolved and has destroyed the usefulness of this page forever? 74.109.121.154 (talk) 05:09, 21 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Basicially that's what happened Daylen (talk) 00:23, 26 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Rename MSN Travel.[edit]

Same engine runs MSN Travel, and "Bing Travel" still runs in the search box, but results go to MSN so it's infact a rebranded service, not a discontinued one. --42.113.73.178 (talk) 01:03, 6 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

It doesn't really matter because Microsoft is going to discontinue MSN Travel in September 2015 anyway
Daylen (talk) 00:23, 26 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Wrong, they're going to discontinue the MSN Travel applications for Microsoft Windows and Windows Phone, the service will continue to exist as a website.
