Which is the correct title?[edit]

Why is the 1949 movie referred to as "The Further Adventures of Ma and Pa Kettle" in the DVD listing, but simply "Ma and Pa Kettle" in the list of movies? (I suspect that it's re-titled in the DVD, but this is the sort of detail that should be spelled out.) Ravenswood 22:50, July 31, 2005 (UTC)

It isn't clear why, as the title card in the film reads simply "Ma and Pa Kettle". WilliamSommerwerck (talk) 14:48, 10 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

They're in the book as well.[edit]

Ma and Pa Kettle first appeared in "The Egg and I" because they appeared in the book (q.v.) as well, which was a big bestseller in 1945/1946.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.171.187.143 (talk) 19:20, 16 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Resolved. It appears that the article's intro now mentions this. 5Q5 (talk) 18:20, 14 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I don't believe it's an intentional case of plagiarism, but the Kettles are remarkably similar to the Tuttles of Tahiti (1941).

What is meant by "Kilbride retired after making the "hamburger" movie"[edit]

What is the "hamburger" movie? I don't see it referenced anywhere else in the article? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.227.193.32 (talk) 07:16, 27 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed. This was from some old vandalism. It should be the Waikiki move. MDfoo (talk) 16:59, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
