Sourcing[edit]

It looks like all this page is missing is sourcing? So I found some:

Will edit page to reflect and remove the proposed deletion. Bratling (talk) 17:02, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately, both of these are from MacInTouch itself. WP:GNG states that notability must be established from sources "independent of the subject". Unless third-party sources are added, the article may be nominated for AfD. HereToHelp (talk to me) 18:51, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Independent Sources[edit]

Thanks for the correction/education, that makes sense. Here are some non-self-sourced references. I think these should do, mostly?

Scott Rosenberg Traces the Blogosphere's Origins
"...Rosenberg knew that several online destinations that preceded Barger's site still met the technical definition of a blog -- a website that publishes updates in reverse chronological order -- including Dave Winer's Scripting News and Ric Ford's Macintouch."
Hacking the Press, Part 2: Types of Publications
"Many types of publications exist because the Internet has lowered cost barriers that previously prevented individuals and small organizations from publishing. Ric Ford's MacInTouch is a perfect example - Ric Ford and Rick LePage started MacInTouch as a paper journal years ago, but the difficult economics of publishing on paper resulted in MacInTouch transmogrifying into a well-received column in MacWEEK. Then, with the rise of the Internet, Ric was able to recreate MacInTouch yet again, this time into a Web site that has become one of the primary sources of frequently updated news in the Macintosh world."
Second Annual List Tracks Mac Industry Influence
"Ric Ford (Editor-in-chief, MacInTouch [Web site])"
(This appears to be a press release, so it may not be appropriate as a source.)
Two Noteworthy Web Anniversaries
"Also celebrating a 10th year is the excellent Macintouch site."
(Corroborates starting date)
Monkintouch
"Most tasteful and cool April foolishness: MacInTouch's transformation to MonkInTouch, complete with piano motif and lots of links to Thelonious Monk stuff."

In the interest of full disclosure, I write reviews for MacInTouch. So I have an interest in it not being deleted from the annals of human knowledge. That said, I also have an interest in maintaining Wikipedia's integrity! :-) Bratling (talk) 02:45, 15 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

To be clear: I believe that this subject meets the Notability guidelines (MacInTouch has been a significant Mac industry presence and influencer for a long time), but I'd appreciate an independent opinion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rmohns (talkcontribs) 02:49, 15 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It's been a couple months with no objections. I'm going to add these attributions.19:08, 14 September 2011 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rmohns (talkcontribs)
