n! conjecture[edit]

The page n! conjecture has been merged into this page which I think is a shame. The page deserves an independent existence. Katzmik (talk) 11:54, 20 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Transformed Macdonald polynomials[edit]

Hello fellow editors,

There were a few issues with the sections on Macdonald Positivity and the Combinatorial Formula of Haiman, Haglund, and Loehr. The previous version claimed that the combinatorial formula was an expression for the classical Macdonald polynomials in type A, and that the positivity conjecture was referring to its Schur expansion. However, Macdonald's conjecture and the combinatorial formula both involve the transformed version of the Macdonald polynomials, , and the formula does not imply positivity because it is an expansion in terms of monomials and not Schur functions.

I've made the relevant changes and added a bit of content.
