International availability not relevant???

For some reason Drovethrughosts thinks that a international listing of where a show is broadcast in is the same a time based EPG. Further more not all articles or lists need or can have a linked reference. References are absolutely required when exact metrics or information is quoted where there is a valid source. And finally most TV show pages on this site have some kind international availability listing, so why does this show's article have be different in this regard? The stuff I just reverted needs a reference, you are not just listing the broadcaster, you are saying why it is available or not, that needs a ref. Dbrodbeck (talk) 21:45, 18 January 2013 (UTC)
As stated this is a LISTING in a article, NOT any kind of exact metric data that can have referenced stats. Also how many web site refs become invalid over time? Also all broadcaster contracts are private and their web sites only list current shows meaning providing a reference for this kind of info can only be by viewer editors of this site. Excluding this info is limiting the usefulness of article for research purposes.Helmboy (talk) 21:59, 18 January 2013 (UTC)
The fact that international broadcast information may be included on other articles is irrelevant, maybe the editors of those articles don't care about verifiability. Why shouldn't they all have references? It's not common knowledge of what network in what country this show airs on in international areas. Besides being completely unsourced, I also removed per WP:NOTTVGUIDE and MOS:TV, which states, "When detailing a show's international broadcasting, simply listing every channel the series appears on is discouraged, Wikipedia is not a television guide." If you want to add notable international airing with references, then go ahead. Otherwise it should be removed per all above mentioned reasons. Drovethrughosts (talk) 22:41, 18 January 2013 (UTC)
For the last time verifiability is NOT valid when first hand information is used, it is only valid when quoting material from other people, listings, stats or articles. WP:NOTTVGUIDE is also an invalid argument due to the definition of a TV guide or EPG has to include the all of the following - show name, channel name, dates and times. As for MOS:TV guidelines, if you follow strictly follow those you may as not bother with TV show articles at all and leave it to other wiki style sites such as TV IV.
