BIGBANG SALES IN THE US[edit]

Hello wikipedians i just edited that section with reliable source you can check it http://www.yg-life.com/archives/56904?lang=en so They sold 73,000 seats/attendance that source is from bigbang's Company YG so the source are legit

You did not take in account that Mexico is part of the North American Tour and that explained the 15-17k difference in numbers. This supports the overall number of seats but not American (the total listed 85k on the page and 87k in the article. Any difference is most likely how numbers were rounded down to even thousand amounts). Hence why I changed it back.

Most likely an oversight on the part of the editor. All other sources include Mexico in the North American Branch of their tour and these numbers match up with the confirmed numbers we have from individuals stops in Canada, Mexico & the United States.

Please refer back to my original source that is newer and clarified the error in the previous article. Your newer article was released the same day as the previous article you tried to source and most likely made the same mistake of not clarifying that Mexico was also included.

I will continue to fix this mistake and I'm going to ask again that you stop putting in incorrect information. Especially since it has been explained to you at length that you are trying to add in Mexico's numbers to the US tour dates. On top of that you are taking away specific details in regards to the number of tickets sold at each stop.

Additional sources that clarify Mexico is included.

Claimed sales : "Claimed Sales" are sales that get mentioned by people like Billboard in their articles, for example Billboard claim ARTPOP sold 2.5 million copies,


"Certified Sales" are sales that have been sent to companies like Billboard BOX-OFFICE to get a certification, , and are actually proven to be real sales

I guess my confusion here is where in that article it says that 24,000 attended (as it was originally listed 22,000). I'm assuming you took the total for the North American tour and subtracted the amount of the Mexico & Canadian show. Did you simply pick a random date to add the extra 2000 tickets to?

What I would personally suggest is instead of randomly assigning them to a show we simply add the North American total to the wikipedia either in the chart or another section. I was looking at the page and I noticed that under "Box Office Score Data" on the page we got specific numbers for the Newmark date (21,903) along with their gross revenue. In order to keep the wiki clean and numbers consistent I switched the 24,000 under Newmark back to 22,000 as this seems to be the accurate amount. To make sure the 87,000 ticket sales remained represented on the wiki I moved these sales totals under commercial success with the citation Rubyangel131 03:27, 1 November 2017 UTC

My concern is the original source gave exact, specific numbers for ticket sales. Pollstar is also a trade publication specifically dedicated to giving in-depth information and I think it's more likely they have accurate information than a rounded number in a newspaper intended for mass consumption. These numbers were also released after the article you are sourcing, so they're newer information.

I don't understand why you're opposed to keeping this number (which is verified by a reliable source) correct. I've included the total North American sales in the wiki so I think this is a fair compromise to keep the wiki article clean.

Note: I just realized the pollstar link in the references was no longer correctly linking to the article! I think that was what was causing the confusion because it seemed like it just took you to the log in page! I update the link so it's now taking you to the correct article from January 2016 with the pdf that gave the exact figures (again, top 200 gross -> #125). Rubyangel131

I hope that has cleared up any confusion we had! I still think it's a fair compromise to keep the correct sales number for the individual concerts but include the overall under commercial. I hope that you agree and we've got it all sorted out now.

Second one because there isn't a need to separate them into two columns that's already been done so lets definitely go with that solution. The large list of tour dates and numbers are the claimed sales (or, in three cases, rounded certified sales). Right below this, under the heading "Box office score data" are the three certified amounts with their exact numbers. Otherwise we're going to have a giant column with nothing in it for the majority. The way they're currently split into two tables is definitely easier to read and more aesthetically pleasing. Plus all that work has been done for us so obviously other people also like this arrangement.

It would be repetitive information since the three certified amounts are already listed under Box Office Score Data. If we create another column like you're suggesting it's going to be almost entirely empty 24 of the 27 entries don't have certified data. If the number of certified tickets sale was larger I would agree, but there isn't a reason to create a second column and add it the three numbers.

Box Score is not The same as Certified Attendance, Box-score is about grossing not about the clarification of how many people attend the concert, so right-now my point is valid , we will make things clear by adding two columns.

I disagree. I think what would be best is to get a third or fourth opinion on this before we make a drastic, uncommon change to the wikipedia page. Was that the correct link? The one that opened was a list of album sales. Also because this was a list of the top grossing all of them had both claimed and certified sales. Like I said previously, if the majority of the concerts had certified amounts then I would agree but as of right now we only have 3 of 27. You example had no empty boxes.

I have opened a dispute with a request for a third party to come read this page and help us determine what the next step should be. I request you hold off making any changes until this neutral party can give their opinion on whether we should make this change or not.
