  • Hi, I'll review this (hopefully within next week), but I'm a bit puzzled as to why Live in Japan (Deep Purple album) is a separate article? I see no reason for this, as it is basically just this album with more tracks, and is so described as simply a reissue (with a slightly different title). FunkMonk (talk) 10:24, 31 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. No idea. I think before I improved this the article made more sense, but now I've dug out sources it's possibly irrelevant. Be bold and turn it into a redirect. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 14:05, 31 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I think there is a bit of info that should be incorporated here though, the tracklist at least. FunkMonk (talk) 15:41, 31 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Right, I will sort this all out next week, as I'm very limited at time at the mo. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 17:11, 1 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Nice enough, will take me a while to get through it as well, a bit busy, but I like the album, so had to do it. FunkMonk (talk) 22:49, 1 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Okay. I've merged the Live in Japan tracklisting - I couldn't see anything else in that article that wasn't covered here, and sourced better. I'll have to get an admin to do a histmerge, as it wasn't just a straight copy / paste, as I made some copyediting and style changes while doing it. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 08:57, 2 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Looks good! I'll get to it soon. FunkMonk (talk) 09:38, 2 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • "since the equipment supplied by Warner Bros. did not have any balance control and that it was too small." What was too small? And it seems the word "that" doesn't make sense here?
Reworded. I think the intent in the source is to show scepticism with the equipment being any good. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 13:15, 4 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • "because it was the only gig that Blackmore played the song's opening riff correctly." Intentionally or unintentionally incorrect in the other versions?
I don't have a source that says one way or the other, so I've replaced with "as per the studio album". Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 13:15, 4 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Glover remembered "twelve or thirteen thousand Japanese kids were singing along to 'Child in Time'" and considers it a career highlight." I'd think the tense should be the same? Also since it is followed by "Gillan also considered".
Reworded - I've gone with "considered" to keep the tense consistent
  • Australian Albums Chart and UK Albums Chart (25th anniversary edition) needs citations.
Yikes! These look awful and need redoing. Let me come back to this. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 13:15, 4 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Why is the Rolling Stones best live album position not listed under accolades?
Done Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 13:15, 4 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • "and as a single in its own right in Japan." Wouldn't this have had a B side as well?
It would, but I don't have a source for that. Not sure what I can do. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 13:15, 4 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • "The band as a whole had mixed feelings on the album." About?
Fixed. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 13:15, 4 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • I think the track notes under the track lists would need citations, for FA at least. But not sure if such can be found. Cite the sleeve notes, maybe.
While we should try and cite as much as possible, I wouldn't have necessarily thought that track times were "material challenged or likely to be challenged", unless, perhaps, there was a content dispute over one. I think the times as presented are cited from Allmusic. I don't have all of the reissues stated, but I have some of them, so I'll dig out the times as listed there, and use Allmusic for the remainder. Have to come back to this. • The duplicated wikilinks should be removed from the tracklist of Live in japan.
Fixed Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 13:15, 4 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Not sure if personnel names need wikilinks again under tracklist and personnel.
I went for convention as seen on Abbey Road (an earlier GA I did), which wikilinks all three, except for the track listing, where it uses Lennon-McCartney instead of the individual names. So there is precedent. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 13:15, 4 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for a quick review. Typically after a three month wait, it started just as I was about to go on tour, but I'm back now to be able to tackle the last few things. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 13:15, 4 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
All looks good, I'll pass once the chart issue is solved. I would had reviewed this long ago, but was quite busy. FunkMonk (talk) 14:00, 4 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Woah, slightly premature as I hadn't double checked the CD times from my hard copies, but now I have, so I think we're in agreement it now meets the GA criteria. Thanks for the review! Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 21:34, 4 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, alright, I had just checked the edit history, and it seemed you had added some sources. FunkMonk (talk) 22:51, 4 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
