This page has been vandalized!![edit]

This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered.

This page has been vandalized by a sock puppet account (see history of edits) and we are very frustrated with Wikipedia's refusal to correct the error. Tribal members insist that Wikimedia cease and desist from spelling our tribal band name in a way that is incorrect and derogatory to our heritage and our sovereign rights. The correct spelling is "Madesi" and you can see this by simply visiting our tribal web site: http://pitrivertribe.org/

Our editor has tried to fix this but the LINKS in hypertext will not allow standard editing. This is an insult to our indigenous band and we are seeing more and more misspellings of our tribal band name ("Madesi"), mistakenly written as the misspelled "Madhesi", which was randomly CHANGED incorrectly by some idiot who Wikimedia obviously is protecting. We have attempted multilple edits of this page and the title still misleads countless visitors to this page PLEASE HELP US AND FIX THIS. This mistaken editing is causing yet another discrediting of Wikipedia. The inaction and refusal to fix this is also discrediting the whole concept of wiki!! PLEASE DO SOMETHING AND FIX THESE BAD LINKS!! Thanks.

I handled this change back to the correct spelling, probably in a messy way which might ruffle some feathers. But the system should not reward unreferenced changes from now-blocked editors who made an incorrect change to begin with (changing Madesi to Madhesi). That initial change to the wrong spelling should have been the change that was difficult to make—rather than this one—which was merely correcting that mistake. The Constitution definatively states that the Pit River Tribe (Ajumawi – Atsugewi Nation) is comprised of, among others, the Madesi autonomous band. Spintendo 05:30, 21 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
