On skeletal gender differences[edit]

the pelvis softens and spreads at the public symphysis joint to assist in childbirth, where the joint can permit the baby's head to pass during birth.

Also, most women have a squared pelvic spine as to also ease passage through the pelvic ring, where most males have a spike-shaped spine.
