How to navigate here[edit]

How would someone ever arrive at Main page (disambiguation), given that Main Page doesn't have a hatnote at the top? --Jameboy (talk) 14:47, 19 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Jameboy: Exactly, it's not possible unless you were typing "Main page (disambiguation)", which you just wouldn't do. Main Page is (for some reason) treated as a mainspace article rather than a project page. Wikipedia:Main Page simply redirects to the Main Page.

So, there are some solutions to this whole problem:

Put a hatnote at the top of Main Page (of course leading to the mass brigading of this disambiguation).
Make Main page (no redirect) the disambiguation article instead (this is likely the best solution).
- ...and perhaps, move the Main Page to Wikipedia:Main Page (possibly breaking all of Wikipedia), and either:
  1. redirect the leftover Main Page to Wikipedia:Main Page (less inconvenient).
  2. redirect the leftover Main Page to Main page (also leading to brigading).
Do nothing and let this disambiguation rot forever.
