Canada I can't confirm but I believe those living in the Windsor Ontario area are subject to blackouts from Detroit Tiger Games. I have a MLB radio subscription and when the Blue Jays have been the free game of the day, and there's a Tigers game broadcasting simultaneously, I have been blacked out from watching the free Jays game.

Postseason baseball coverage in Canada[edit]

I am confused about postseason baseball coverage in Canada. The US broadcaster FOX seems to get the contract each year, and local Canadian broadcasters only seem able to re-broadcast the FOX coverage. Perhaps someone knowledgeable about this arrangement can edit the article to explain how things work, keeping the following specific questions in mind:

Is it a policy of MLB that both countries must rely on the same broadcaster for postseason games? (What about other countries?)
Are Canadian broadcasters able to compete for these postseason contracts? Do they?
Does the presence of a Canadian baseball team in the postseason (currently the Blue Jays but historically also the Expos) affect the broadcast rules?
How is the MLB arrangement squared with Canadian law? (I'm surprised there is no legal clause prohibiting what essentially amounts to the forced access of a US broadcaster to the Canadian market.)
