Did You Know
A fact from this article appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the "Did you know?" column on July 17, 2007.
The text of the entry was: Did you know ...that in 1920, KDKA in Pittsburgh was the first radio station to broadcast Major League Baseball on the radio?

Failed GA[edit]

While the prose is ok, I have some other issues, especially about the sources and rather lack of info.

  1. The article seems short, especially on something that could easily be expanded with use of books or magazines, and even the web, very little info, every decade has only a sentence. Who got the idea for broadcasting baseball on radio?, It's not comprensive.
  2. Some of the sources aren't strongly reliable and others I don't see the point, like source number #8 for example is a blog, #11, #21, and #23 are forums, and those are no-no's, I don't get the point of source #24, and others seems like overuse of sources. They should be in Template:Cite web format.
  3. The only image is the article has no tag on it, a good fair use claim can be used though.

AFR[edit]

I used to listen to baseball games on Armed Forces Radio while living in the UK. AFR hasn't been mentioned in the article. Seasider53 (talk) 22:21, 14 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
