I was hoping to build on this start article but hit the buffers. I think the Bonynge recording is the complete piece, not just selections (the work was always part of a triple bill, and this link suggests that there is a 44-minute film of it in New York [1] - 40 minutes (Bonynge's version takes 39) sounds right. I also 'know' that "Au soldat après la parade" from Act I of Le Coeur et la main comes in at the end of the score (but of course don't have a reference). The Decca Eclipse LP 'synopsis' has some useful indications of the dances of different characters and when they occur. The Kurtz Columbia recording states on the sleeve that it is the Mohaupt version. Cg2p0B0u8m (talk) 23:00, 26 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I have seen it danced at Covent Garden and will dig out the programme to see if it casts any light on the score, but don't hold your breath. Ballet audiences are not famous for their close interest in the music. More anon. Tim riley talk 22:01, 27 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
