Is that "bob the builder" stuff real, or is it just vandilizesism? 00:41, 8 July 2006 (UTC)00:41, 8 July 2006 (UTC)00:41, 8 July 2006 (UTC)00:41, 8 July 2006 (UTC)

Isn't 'mambo no. 5' a code-name for Spanish Fly? I can't cite it, so I won't add it, but I'm sure I've read that somewhere before. added 09-04-06 by Jason S. Klepp I believe the Perez Prado instrumental version is used in the movie 'Office Space'.

Fair use rationale for Image:Mambo No. 5.jpg

Image:Mambo No. 5.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 03:38, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

Bad use of wikipedia to promote a single by Lou Bega in 1999 when this article should have been about the Mambo No. 5 song and how it has been shaped through the years by various artists, the original actually pre-dating 1950. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 216.239.65.2 (talk) 20:49, August 20, 2007 (UTC)

Splitting Page

There should be two separate articles: one of the Perez Prado Classic and one with the Pop Song (Which goes by the name "Mambo Number Five"). They are not the same song! 71.94.128.41 14:37, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

Actually, if justice were done, someone would just delete the Lou Bega part.
Nearly all references to this song from throughout Wikipedia (and elsewhere) are for the Lou Bega version. My inclination would be to make the Lou Bega song be a page called "Mambo No. 5" or a page called "Mambo No. 5 (Lou Bega song)" that a search for "Mambo No. 5" redirects to. Then at the top of the Lou Bega version's page (ideally "Mambo No. 5"), we could have text pointing them to a disambiguation page ("Mambo No. 5 (disambiguation)") that points to the other articles named "mambo no. 5". This allows the vast majority of people searching for or linking to "Mambo No. 5" to get to the page about the Lou Bega version, while still preserving a way to access the other versions. P.S., the guy who posted up there above me has a good point :) Davemcarlson (talk) 11:10, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
Well, if you split them, just name the Lou Bega page as Mambo No. 5 (A Little Bit of...), then you're just using the full title of the song.--Wolfer68 (talk) 03:54, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

Legacy

The "Molly Shannon episode" of SNL? Does this mean an episode where she was guest host?PurpleChez (talk) 01:22, 22 February 2011 (UTC)

Why is the name 'Gina' listed in the complete list of names in the song? It is not listed on five different webpages giving the lyrics of the song, and I certainly can't hear it. 'Tina' is the closest name, but is already listed. Does anyone else think it belongs there?--Danielsj 16:42, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

Akira Miyagawa remix

Akira Miyagawa did an interesting remix of Mambo No.5 and Beethoven's 5th Symphony; a Youtube video of it can be found here. Does anyone know of any reputable sources who discussed this? I checked his Web site, but it's all a Flash animation and the text is in Japanese. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Macoukji (talkcontribs) 20:11, 24 February 2011 (UTC)
