Section on Marilyn lyrics is easily verifiable based on linked references. There's not another pink hotel in Los Angeles that Marilyn Monroe stayed at that a Sheik with a bad track record on LGBT rights. This isn't an interpretation of a lyric and a citation was added.
The lyrics: "Marilyn's bungalow it's no. 7 / In the pink palace, where men made her legend / Owned by a sheik who killed thousands of gay men / I guess that's why he bought the campest hotel in LA then" refers to the Beverly Hills Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. The hotel is owned by Hassanal Bolkiah, Sultan of Brunei, who in 2019, introduced legislation that would result in the death penalty for LGBT individuals.[19]
