Merger of three articles[edit]

I have now merged this article with Pan American Hospital and Beth David Hospital. There is little reason to have three stubs about hospitals (one of them short-lived) that occupied the same building. As far as I can tell, all three hospitals occupied 161 East 90th Street, a structure that is no longer even a hospital.

Furthermore, the articles suffered from significant sourcing problems, including the overuse of references that don't give significant coverage or even support the claim. The Beth David Hospital was a particularly egregious example of this. For example, the sentence "In June 1913 Beth David Hospital celebrated for an entire week their having moved to a newly built facility." was supported by four references, only one of which actually supported the claim. The other three sources are about entirely different things: one is a doctor's obituary, one is about a proposed building, and one is a reference about a girl who died after being pushed under a car. That last reference is particularly glaringly deficient; the reference quotes the text "taken to the Beth David Hospital", but it tells us absolutely nothing of note, including even the hospital's location - all it tells us is that there is a hospital called Beth David Hospital. Other claims in these articles suffered from similar problems, so I have removed the reference overkill from all three pages. Epicgenius (talk) 13:51, 18 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
