Personalities section[edit]

Normally I don't remove whole sections of articles while copyediting them, but this one seemed rather inappropriate and very difficult to make fully coherent. None of the people listed here seem to have articles, and for many of them, I doubt that they ever will. However, some of them do seem to be significant people who could one day be written about, so I'm copying this excised section here for future reference.

Dr. Captain Jibon Ratan Dhar- Served in British Army during WWI. He was born in the village ....??? Later on he became a Deputy Minister of Jail of West Bengal government in 1952 and he became a full minister of Health under Dr. Bidhan Chandra in 1962.
Sarat Chandra Mojumder was born in Poradanga village in 1897. He completed his Matriculation examination from Panjia high school in 1920 and B.L. degree from Calcutta University in 1927. For a brief period, he worked as a teacher in Moshihati High school. In 1954, he became a MP on the ticket of Pakistan National congress and later on became a minister (1955–1958) of East Pakistan Government.
Dr. Md. Abdul Wahab MBBS[RMC],MRCP. Prof of Medicine Holy family Medical college. He is the first MRCP holder in Manirampur Upazila. He is the son of Late Alhajj Md Fazlul Karim of village Hasadanga.
One of the notable village is Parala (under Durbadanga union) that produced Educationist and former MP Pijush Kanti Bhattyacharya; Current Upazilla Chairman Swapon Bhattyacharya; Graduate during British period, Head Master Fazlul Karim, BA (Calcutta University); Afsar uddin who served Pakistan Air Force, Prominent lawyer Anwarul Karim, Physician G M Monawar Hosain MBBS (DMC), MS (Australia), PHD (USA), currently in Texas; Mechanical Engineer Delawar Hossain MBA, MS (Canada), currently in Calgary, Canada; Afroza Begum, MBBS (DMC), MD (USA), Pediatrician, currently working in Houston, USA; BSc Engineer Motiur Rahman and Biotechnologist G M Rabiul Islam MSc, MS (Belgium), teacher at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Sylhet.Md. Sariful Bashar MBA,MBS.work in Chittgong, RF Holdings Ltd.
 Village Bejoyrampur: Afsar Uddin Ahmed is an actuary (Actuary from the Institute of Actuaries, London, Fellow of Conference of Consulting Actuaries, USA, Diploma in Superannuation Management (Australia), Diploma in Risk Management. Mr Ahmed stood first in the first class in Statistics at Rajshahi University and was a teacher in the University for more than 2 years), currently residing and working in Australia. He is one of 3 actuaries currently helping the life insurance companies in Bangladesh as a consultant

Sc(Ag), PHD (Japan) presenty working at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University, Gazipur. Village Hanuar- BSc Engineer Rabiul Islam from BUET, currently at Toronto. Shafi Sumodro, Poet, Editor, Jessore Road. Manirampur bazar, Jessore. Charu Pintu, Artist, Manirampur, Jessore.
Village Poradanga: Manabendra Datta, MBBS (DMC), MD (USA): Currently at USA. Nazrul Islam Khan of Mashimnagar is now PS-1 to Honorable Prime Minister of Bangladesh. Village Mohohorpur produced Golam Rabbani MA, MS (UK), currently working with 'Total Gas' in UK. Village Masna produced Engr. Mosharraf Hossain from BUET, who was awarded Chancellor Certificate for academic excellence in 1986. Village Chandipur produced Dr. Suraiya Khanam MBBS (Rajshahi). Prokash Roy Chowdhury MSS, MBA (Dhaka University), a career consultant from Monirampur Bazaar.
Engr. Md. Abdullah Al-Mamun Khan BSc.(EE),Pakistan, MSc.(IT & Telecom Engineering), from village Bantbila wrote many poems[শেষ জলছবি (The last panorama)], short stories and novels[শুকালো গোলাপ (The Rose dry out), পথের বাঁকে]. He is currently working as IT officer in Velti, Athens. Dr. Mehedi Hassan Tazmir MD (Ukrine) from village Agorhati is the youngest son of famous Social worker Alhajj Jobed Ali Sarder. Titash Adhikary(M.A), writes short stories & poem and editor of -Pakhigash (An off beat little magazine publishing house).
Kumar Krishna Biswas was born in Bahadurpur, under Haridas Kathi Union, Monirampur, Jessore. At present, he is pursuing PhD with Australian scholarships in the Newcastle University (Australia). Abdul Jabbar Mastar Head Master of Monirampur Govt. Pilot High school. BSc Engineer Mahbubur Rahman(BUET).(PHD In Newzealand)
From the village of Nowali under Morshemnagar union, Moslem Uddin Sarder-the muktijudda (freedom fighter) commander was survived. Dr. Toffazzal Hossain (Sylhet Medical College) served as cancer specialist at Cancer Institute of Mohakhali, Dhaka. Md. Akramuzzaman did his Masters in International Relations (Dhaka University) and is now pursuing PhD degree in international affairs at Lund University, Sweden. He had been the author of as many as twelve books in international politics. Md. Anser Uddin Dewan, ex-chairman of Morshemnagar union is from this village. He is simple, honest and sincere by work and much popular among the villagers.
Bharatpur, a tiny village is the birth place of a few ideal men. Prof. Karim and his brother Abul Kashem are much well-known and popular to the villagers. Dr. Ershad, died a few years back, was a man of ideal, devoted his long to the service of poor villagers. Bharatpur is also the birth-place of present UP chairperson Ad. Abdul Gafor.
Parkhajura is one of the largest villages under Morshemnagar union of Monirampur. During the liberation war of 1971, this village was home to a number of anti-liberation force agent-Rajakor. Despite that, the village of Parkhajura is still known as home to some noted personnel as Dr. Dulal Chandra Dutta, Md. Abdur Rashid-former UP Chairman have come out of the village.
Bahadur Master is a seasoned AL politician from Dottokona and a popular union porishod chairman for years. Veteran BNP politician Musa chairman is from Shamkur.
