Population[edit]

The text says "688,630" and the info box says " 272,608". Which is correct (if any)? Stephenb (Talk) 10:09, 3 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Usually this kind of thing is caused by different editors looking at figures for the district, sub-district or urban area, which are all different. It's a particular problem at the moment as we're waiting for the full results of the 2011 census; but the district populations have already been published, and enthusiastic editors are putting 2011 district numbers onto articles that are specifically about the towns and not the districts. Give it a few months and that should be less of a problem. FlagSteward (talk) 01:04, 27 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
