Man vs. person[edit]

Edited first sentence, it said "designed to entrap a person on purpose". Well, obviously that is not true because it is called a mantrap not a persontrap. The mantrap was designed long before the word 'person' was (and the word person is only applicable in legal settings anyway). In the case that a 'persontrap' is created it would not do anything as the definition of a person in the law dictionary is 'a legal fiction'. In short, the mantrap is used to entrap humans which does not necessarily include persons.

You are confusing things and their names. All men are people, even if the word "person" was only coined later. Equinox 00:32, 2 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The mechanical trap and the vestibule have so little in common they are better at separate articles. I have moved and refactored into Mantrap (snare) and Mantrap (access control). jnestorius(talk) 00:05, 3 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
