Notable?[edit]

I know that many geographical features qualify as notable even if they aren't sourced; however, the specific line from [[]] is "Major geographical and geological features featured on maps, such as lakes, rivers, mountains, mountain passes, etc., generally survive AfD". I'm not sure that a beach automatically meets that exception. I'm sure that many beaches are notable, but I'm not sure that they necessarily all are, especially since the distinction between one beach and another isn't necessarily geographic as much as it is influenced by local rules, buildings, or similar issues. However, if I'm wrong, and a beach is one of those features involved in the "etc." above, I'm happy to remove the notability tag.

I did, though, also remove the reference, as it appears to be nothing more than a private travel site that doesn't even seem close to meeting WP:RS. Qwyrxian (talk) 03:16, 26 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
