Features Section[edit]

I am re-publishing the features section, that was removed in November. The comment made when it was removed was that the section was not supposed to be a marketing brochure. I understand that is absolutely correct. However, the features section was simply outlining high-level capabilities of Maple. Furthermore, the Wikipedia page for Wolfram Mathematica includes a very similar features section and doesn't seem to have had a similar issue.

History Section[edit]

I removed "found in Mathematica" from the following sentence in the History section:

In 2008, Maple 12 added additional user interface features found in Mathematica, including special purpose style sheets, control of headers and footers, bracket matching, auto execution regions, command completion templates, syntax checking and auto-initialization regions.

I don't think that the point of the history section should be to compare and contrast when each respective product added feature X or Y. If a citation for this can be found where it is directly indicated that Maple 12 added features based on features in Mathematica, then it can clearly be reinstated. Another point that I would suggest be removed (or moved to the features section) is the line: Maple 13 introduced a fly-through feature for animating 3-D plots.[12] The tone of this section is to talk about the history of Maple including major interface updates. This is a very minor change that is only referenced by a Maplesoft help page. Relativeway (talk) 02:56, 7 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that '3D fly-throughs are not a major part of Maple's history, so I've removed the note in the history section suggested by the user above. I've added an example to the examples section that shows this feature instead. Dskoog (talk) 16:41, 11 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
