Odd nomenclature[edit]

According to Burke’s Peerage (1953), William Kirkpatrick (1764-1837) was not laird of Closeburn or of Clonheath, so his name under Scots law was just William Kirkpatrick. If his wife had the surname de Grivegnée, his daughter under Spanish law had the surname Kirkpatrick de Grivegnée. I have therefore altered the text to reflect the correct names. --Hors-la-loi 11:36, 29 August 2013 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hors-la-loi (talkcontribs)
