Could someone be kind enough to help with the pronunciation of Marcinkiewicz?

    Here in chicago people seem to pronounce it Mar-sin-kay-vich.

I have no idea how to change the title of an article but the theorem I believe is generally known as the "Marcinkiewicz Interpolation Theorem". It seems a better title to me. Thenub314 17:04, 13 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

That's the name I usually hear too. So, I made the move. (unless I am confusing it with something else). The note on the pronunciation, I think, should be put on the article of the mathematician Marcinkiewicz. This way we don't have to put the same note in every article whose title containing the name Marcinkiewicz. -- Taku 10:36, 29 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

measure symbol[edit]

I am so used to seeing ω represent an underlying state and a symbol like μ or ν as the measure that it took a few extra moments to parse the definition of the distribution λ.

Would it be objectionable to change the measure to μ as it is in measure spaces?
