This company is one of the most important distributors of Portuguese culture, especially of African Portuguese-speaking contents, and African contents in general. It is not a well-known Hollywood major studio but I think maybe it is more interesting to have cultural diversity in an encyclopaedia, rather than commercial successes. Also, this is not an advertising text, it is merely informative. A company dedicated to such a specific area should be welcome to Wikipedia.

I perfectly understand your position in questioning the veracity of information that is not referenced, so let me just try to help and show some of the "existence" of Marfilmes:

  • Jornal de Notícias, 2005-01-20 Here is a Portuguese newspaper article about Marfilmes (in Portuguese). These kind of articles are rare in the media because, usually, the audience it's not interested in who is behind the audiovisual products, paying attention to the intervenient of the programs/films.
  • I also included the IMDb link of Marfilmes in the article, which speaks for itself. Marfilmes at IMDb.
