Suggest not merging[edit]

The topic is separate and while a cross-reference to each other would be useful, when working on a liturgical issue, it's helpful not to have to wade through a longer discourse on antiphons generally, when all one might need is a text or a history of the function of the genre itself. I also agree that more could be said on this topic alone, which wouldn't be appropriate in the more general article on antiphons; the fact that it doesn't function in quite the same way as the others, and how and why, would be a good start...Dellaroux (talk) 19:34, 8 May 2010 (UTC) (sorry, I wasn't logged in before, thought I was!)[reply]

Marian hymns[edit]

Please see Talk:Hymns_to_Mary regarding a suggestion for bringing this material into hymns given that the major items are hymns anyway. And I think there is no need for having the text of the 4 antiphons here, given that each has it on its own page. Once that goes away, it will be a small page anyway and may fit well within hymns.
