Verifiability is one thing. Posting incorrect information is another.

Try looking at 99% of all the other monorail sites in the world to verify that the informaion from www.monorailyellow.com is incorrect.

For example. The date of the monorail fire was June 26th 1985. NOT June 25th

1974 Crash Content[edit]

The current content for the 1974 crash seems to be a lightly written rewrite of this source: http://forums.wdwmagic.com/threads/monorail-crash-in-1980.6118/#post-76278. I don't know if its enough to call it out as plagarism but it sure smells like uncited OR and probably should be rewritten from reliable sources. The crash is listed at Incidents at Walt Disney World with a valid citation but it lacks the details contained in the current section. Ogre lawless (talk) 03:56, 4 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Someone should try to confirm the fate of the driver who crashed into the rear of the train ahead of him. Far from being reassigned, I remember hearing that he had been killed. Here's what I remember:

I was on the monorail immediately behind the one that crashed into the rear of the train ahead of it. We were delayed entering the transportation center for 20-30 minutes before finally entering on the "wrong" track. No explanation was given for the delay. Security people were, in fact, preventing people from taking photographs. Don't know about confiscating film. They hurried us away from the crash site and had us board boats for the trips to our various hotels. (Our boat's driver was incompetent and unable to dock because the wind kept pushing us away and, at the age of 10, I had to stand over he shoulder and tell her what to do to finally get us safely moored. Not a good night for Disney transportation.) Someone should check the references to the driver responsible being reassigned: At the time we heard that he had been killed and that vomit was found in the car he occupied. I wrote Disney a letter suggesting they install dead man's switches on the throttle. They said the controls had them but that the driver never released the throttle. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.187.106.63 (talk) 01:04, 4 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
