Sundown town?[edit]

I lived in Marlow from 1983 to 1986, and again (with a gap of about 18 months when I lived in Rush Springs) from 1989 to 1997. I walked all over the town, and drove in and out by various roads, and I never saw, nor even heard of, such sign as the History section claims existed up to 1990. I was born in 75. Im mixed with black. My mother was white. My grandmother lived in Marlow and one day my mother went to visit her mother (my grandmother) at her waitress job in 85 in Marlow Oklahoma and I recall hearing my grandmother telling my mother she better leave now before the Sun goes down. I remember that like it was yesterday. I was too young to know what it meant then. I was so happy seeing my grandmother.
