Hours permitted for marriage ceremonies "That every such Marriage shall be celebrated with open doors, between the hours of Nine in the Forenoon and Three in the Afternoon,” I found this in the text of the 1836 Marriage Act (Wikisource https://en.wikisource.org/wiki/1836_(34)_Marriages._A_bill_for_Marriages_in_England, article 14).
