I don't think biryanis are served on weddings. It is almost always pullao with other dishes.

Wedding Meal Ban[edit]

Does any one know anything about the ban on meals in weddings? Was it reversed? IP198 00:25, 1 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Merge[edit]

We can just merge this with Pakistani culture and make it a section in that article.-Vmrgrsergr 01:24, 3 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Pakistani culture is already too long might merge with Marriage in Pakistan. -Akhwandk

Polygamy right at the top?[edit]

Its surprising to see Polygamy as the first topic on this article. Polygamy does happen but firstly its not THAT common and secondly it certainly doesn't deserve the first spot. Need to push it down. 115.186.169.171 (talk) 17:20, 1 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A complete joke of an article - needs major restructuing.[edit]

Whoever wrote this must have been living in a box in Lahore. Marriage in Pakistan varies from region to region, ethnicity to ethnicity. Talk about Punjabi bias to the extreme. I'll be fixing this article up once I collect my sources. Generally speaking, Islamic marriage rules are followed but there are differences depending upon where you live and what your ethnic background is. The person who wrote this article thinks that all of Pakistan lives in Lahore. Ridiculous. --PAKHIGHWAY (talk) 15:04, 22 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
