By the time Mull was on Mary Hartman, he was already well known for his records. This section brushes by the recordings to get to the acting. If you have charting songs and radio play, it deserves more than it gets here.

Agreed. Came here for information on his early career writing parody/pastiche songs, and his work with National Lampoon. E.g., Did Martin Mull write the the Christmas novelty song "Kung Fu Christmas"? I think he did, but can't find independent confirmation. Surely someone knows about his early comedy career and can provide documentation? There's also a lot of early stand-up (actually, he was billed as the "sit-down comic," and traveled with his own chair, lamp, and side table) that should be documented here. 71.67.121.184 (talk) 03:40, 3 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
