Section name changed into ... Walter-Bubis-Debate ...[edit]

From Walser-Bubis-Controversy into Walser-Bubis-Debatte. Sources who use this name too:

Also, the debate(s) was the main thing -DePiep (talk) 15:20, 29 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Source missing[edit]

As the sentence itself shows he disagreed it should at least be specified and sourced with whom who is notable he disagreed: "By the 1980s, Walser began shifting back to the political right, though he denied any substantive change of attitude." Sources for improving the article.[edit]

Here are sources from generally reliable publications for improving the article. I am currently unable to edit the article much (I hope to do so later) but wanted to leave some sources for those looking to contribute now. Here they are:

  • French Yahoo: [[2]]
  • The Guardian: [[3]]
  • Le Monde: [[4]]

Good luck improving the article! 90.128.41.172 (talk) 21:07, 28 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

There were reflections and essays on Walser in all the leading german papers; I think, I read the ones in the FAZ, SZ, TAZ, ZEIT, Welt.--Ralfdetlef (talk) 09:29, 5 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

His essays superior to his novels?[edit]

Walser wrote many non-fiction texts on literature, politics, etc. Esp. his literary essays and books are superior to his fiction (writing style); Marcel Reich-Ranicki (a famous critic and friend of Walser until his "Death of a Critic") thought so, too. I remember him saying so on TV, but would have to look for a source.--Ralfdetlef (talk) 14:23, 29 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You are welcome to add with a source, and please say that critics thought better, not that it is so. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 15:27, 29 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Of course, and will add R-R as source, if I can find it. Might have been on the "Literarisches Quartett" TV-show.--Ralfdetlef (talk) 09:21, 5 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

His activity in the rundfunk[edit]

It is not mormal that so young man was send outside germany. It must written so in the article 2A02:3038:407:81E4:6D2D:A271:B252:FD70 (talk) 16:11, 30 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Two questions: what does it add to his life, and what independent source would you cite for it? Just you thinking you know this is so is not enough for Wikipedia. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 10:21, 31 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Was schlagen Sie vor? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:3038:411:775F:298D:C83A:826F:A74F (talk) 10:47, 1 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
"Es kann sein" - "It could be", that's what we call original research when we are polite, or guesswork. It has no room on Wikipedia. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 11:13, 1 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
