Notability of subject[edit]

Does this subject meet Wikipedia's notability guideline? Subject appears to have achieved some prominence in their sub-discipline of research, especially in leading the world stress map program in the 1980s and early 1990s and being a member of the National Academies of Sciences. Article states that subject is a consulting professor of the Stanford University Geophysics Department, but the department's website shows no record of this (https://earth.stanford.edu/geophysics/people). Did subject contribute notable accomplishments that merit a Wikipedia page? Text is embellished and repetitive (see next topic), making it difficult to evaluate notability. Cleanup needed[edit]

Article is embellished throughout and reads like an autobiography. Also repetitive. I removed some egregious cases early in the article (such as, "She has led an incredibly successful life with a long list of accomplishments and publications"). Many more remain. If subject is deemed notable (see other topic), better referencing is needed throughout. For example, is subject actually a consulting professor at Stanford University? No citation is given and subject does not appear on department's webpage. Tensorsum (talk) 19:56, 30 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Tensorsum: You tagged this page as an autobiography. I see that five editors have each contributed more than 1000 bytes to the page. Which one of the editors do you believe is connected to the subject? pburka (talk) 21:54, 30 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Pburka Not sure whether any of the editors are the subject of the article. I added this tag because it "reads like an autobiography." Would you recommend a different tag given the multiple editors? If this article is to be kept, I recommend rewriting to reduce apparent bias. Tensorsum (talk) 04:01, 31 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Propose removing all subheadings under Life and Career. They mostly repeat first part of section. Propose to consolidate any important detail into first part of section. Tensorsum (talk) 17:15, 3 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
