Adaption[edit]

Please leave the 'adaption' text in. Whoever removed it saying it was 'unsourced' is a moron! what do you think? That I made it up?? How about you being helpful and add the source? 109.180.125.25 (talk) 01:19, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the compliments. If you can share your source with me, I will be happy to add it to the article if you are not sure how to do this yourself. BOZ (talk) 04:19, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, OK I was rude, but polite comments seem to always get ignored (It's a tactic, not a personal jibe) I will indeed add the correct citations when I've a little more time. 109.180.125.25 (talk) 10:24, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Please don't use that tactic, Civility is part of Wikipedia's code of conduct and one of its five pillars. Stated simply, editors should always treat each other with consideration and respect. Please remove your uncivil comments per WP:DEALWITHINCIVIL - strike through the uncivil comments, or to re-word them. Sciencefish (talk) 11:06, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Dear Sciencefish. It is extremely frustrating and disheartening when one spends time creating and amending entries only for them to be removed without any explanation. As for uncivil, I've received similar comments from others on other wiki pages and reported it and nothing has happened. Personally, I don't think removing someone's work without explanation is 'civil' or acceptable, but this is a common practice. So unless you can guarantee that entries won't be removed without explanation, then it's likely to happen. 109.180.125.25 (talk) 14:35, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Please familiarise yourself with Wikipedia's Five Pillars - WP:PILLARS, if you always follow the second one WP:5P2 and always provide a reliable source, then your work won't be removed as it is sourced. No source - then it goes until you WP:PROVEIT. Sciencefish (talk) 19:38, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
