Sold?[edit]

User:Historiograf says the housebook has been sold, but I can't see this on google, nor has he changed his local German article. Does anyone have more information? Johnbod (talk) 02:55, 10 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

See here: the housebook will come back to Wolffegg until the juridical questions are cleared. So far: open end. Look at the German blog "Archivalia" (see link) from time to time or take google by "hausbuch wolfegg". --84.144.107.45 (talk) 01:07, 24 February 2008 (UTC) (i. e.: Felistoria, German wp)[reply]
Thanks. The German is too much for me, but I see we have this [1] Johnbod (talk) 01:16, 24 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Never mind:-), let's begin with the pictures, see here. There is an article in German wikipedia "Hausbuch (Schloss Wolfegg)" [2]. Then you can find a transcription of an 1887-edition here. The important source for "The Master of the Housebook" is: Daniel Hess: Meister um das „mittelalterliche Hausbuch“. Studien zur Hausbuchmeisterfrage. Von Zabern, Mainz 1994, ISBN 3-8053-1656-9. (You see: you have more:-). The case of selling the piece for presumable 20 million Euro is one in a row which is going to become more and more important not only for German scientists; the question of bewaring your cultural heritage is an international problem and in Germany it's becoming a more and more political one. user:Historiograf is an expert for any questions in cases like that. You can contact him per email via de:wp. --84.144.107.45 (talk) 01:57, 24 February 2008 (UTC) (i. e.: Felistoria, German wp)[reply]
  • Yes I saw we had more pics, but not all these. They were not linked to the right category - Category:Meister des Hausbuches, which I have done. Johnbod (talk) 02:16, 24 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
New pics added - much better! Johnbod (talk) 02:48, 24 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
