Release Info[edit]

I noticed that the citation given for the 1963 Ces Gens-Là album release did not line up with what was written in the lead, so I assumed the album name was just incorrect, so I went to change it to Jacques Brel the album aka Jef (1963) as the sources here and here give, but I realized this album was not mentioned on the English wp, so I checked the French wp assuming it would be more complete in terms of albums initially released in France and Belgium, but there is the same issue over there, with no albums listed on Brel's discog between 1962 and 1966.

Perhaps the self-titled album, which is also known as Jef, is being conflated with Ces Gens-Là, which also has all three titles involved here: "Jef," "Ces Gens-Là," and "Mathilde", but judging from the sources I linked and extensive searching of discogs.com images, they are two different albums with different track listings. As I speak zero French, I can't really get to the bottom of this, and I'm also not a Brel expert. But anyway, I thought the 1963 year made sense with the Belgian tv taping, but I kept the article as saying "Mathilde" was on Ces Gens-Là, because I am pretty certain that's true, but I changed that release year to 1966 as that's what the sources I've seen state.
