Review of a new biography[edit]

  1. Lead is much too short—it should be a full paragraph (on current size) and summarise the rest of the article.
  2. Furthermore, the Lead must clearly establish the notability of the artist and all content is to be substantiated by reliable sources; preferably with in-line citations.
  3. Some short paragraphs in the Biography can be combined with nearby ones or should be expanded.
  4. Relevance of some trivial matter is not clear: e.g. Quit music industry to live on a commune for about a year. Commune living again later—for another year or so. All up, how has this affected his career?
  5. Continuity error: when was his stint(s) with Chain? Article has him quitting in 1971 and rejoining after the late 1970s. No mention of the band's hiatuses.
  6. Random name checking: second last paragraph list some 13 famous musicians that he has worked with but does not elaborate to any significant degree.
  7. References: only one currently, as an in-line reference it presumably only supports the quote from Albert Collins. Other reliable sources are available on-line and should be used to substantiate any contentious claims in the article. Consider the existing music articles on Wild Cherries and Chain (and others). Some of their sources can be used here?
Overall

A good start on a significant figure in Australian blues music but substantial in-line citations are required to sustain its many claims. Reviewed by--shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 21:40, 17 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
