Two boxers named 'Nutty' Curran?[edit]

Is there another (un)related Matthew 'Nutty' Curran? According to Warships and Ships at war there is mention of a 'Nutty' Curran surviving the sinking of the RMS Lancastria, sailing aboard the RMS Franconia (1922) in 1956 (the RMS Franconia (1910) was sunk on 4 October 1916), and he is described as a fireman and Liverpool boxer. However, Matthew Curran was from Lisdeen, Ireland (though he did fight in Liverpool once), the RMS Lancastria was sunk on 17 June 1940 2-years after Matthew Curran died, so it is unlikley that they are the same person, but I can find no other boxers of the same name on BoxRec. The original poster (captain kong) describes him only as 'Nutty' Curran, and it's a subsequent poster (KendallC) who describes him as Matthew 'Nutty' Curran. Best Regards. Results[edit]

I think it would be worthwhile to summarize/simplify the fight results to only just the most notable, but I don't know what standards to use for notability since I know relatively little about boxing. Does anyone have a guide for boxing notability? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mcbenseigs (talkcontribs) 19:25, 24 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
