Cause of death[edit]

CAUSE OF DEATH: I believe there is a misunderstanding of the death certificate. I am a board certified anatomic and clinical pathologist (MD). "narcotising" means 1a: to treat with or subject to a narcotic, 1b: to put into narcosis, 2: to soothe to unconsciousness or unawareness. One would not use this term in describing pancreatic tissue. However, necrotizing is a proper medical term describing necrosis of the specified tissue (The British would spell it necrotising). "Narcotising" is either a typographical error on the orginal certificate or misreading of a handwritten report. I have not seen the death certificate. However, I know from my extensive experiences in autopsies and completing death certificates that the proper term must be "necrotizing".

I contacted the cited source who reviewed the death certificate and corrected her website info (see below). Check the Reel Classics website on Matthew Garber.

I remember reading in a tabloid (I've forgotten which) that Matthew Garber "killed himself because he failed to again achieve the success which he had attained ten years earlier". I'm glad I've come across this article which shows the real cause of death.

School[edit]

I can confirm Matthew attended St Paul's School, Winchmore Hill. I was in his class and at the time the Garber family were living in Vicar's Moor Lane, Winchmore Hill. When Thomasina was released a party from the school went to The Odeon, Southgate to watch a screening of the film. John Cranston

Edit:Internet sources all say "St. Paul's Primary School" without specifying a different campus. It looks like print sources (or a letter of confirmation from the campus itself) would be the only option(s). They're not related. The point is that there is no St Pauls Primary associated with St Pauls the famous public school. In any case his upper school was Highgate. The ST Pauls Primary he did attend was in Winchmore Hill. Rich Farmbrough. 01:12, 20 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
