The end of the quote under the section "Game Philosphy" - "There are many modern TRPGs which complicate Finch's generalization" is less than flimsy in the original source so should not be included here. The thesis only cites Risus (1993) - far from "modern" being closer in age to original D&D than the present day - and "The Quiet Year" (2013) - which in the first case is not a roleplaying game - post-dates Matt Finch's quote by 5 years so can't disprove his statement about games of the present day. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.136.165.81 (talk) 09:13, 15 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
