Clarification[edit]

He was "one of the most representative writers of German literature after World War II" despite being Swiss and living in Switzerland his entire life? --NEMT 15:44, 22 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In reply to the above: 'German literature' is probably meaning literature written in the German language, rather than that which belongs to Germany. Could be clarified though.

There is a poem listed in the external links, I don't think this qualifies as a reliable reference since it's a subjective interpretation of the play and doesn't necessarily add anything factual to the page. Article Quality[edit]

This article is poorly written and contains several grammatical mistakes. The content is also weak. Much of Max Frisch's life is left out and some of his important works are not mentioned. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.122.148.43 (talk) 03:14, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright problem[edit]

This article has been reverted by a bot to this version as part of a large-scale clean-up project of multiple article copyright infringement. Film versions of his work[edit]

At least one of his novels (Homo Faber) was made into a movie. It is common on Wik for this sort of information to be mentioned. I don't know what others were filmed, so I haven't added anything. Kdammers (talk) 10:35, 4 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This sentence is confusing.

"The piece unleashed public discussion of the issues involved, and can today be compared with Friedrich Dürrenmatt's The Physicists (1962) and Heinar Kipphardt's On the J Robert Oppenheimer Affair (In der Sache J. Robert Oppenheimer), though these pieces are all now for the most part forgotten."

Surely "though these pieces are all now for the most part forgotten" refers to the plays written by Max Frisch, not Friederich Dürrenmatt's Die Physiker. Dürrenmatt's play is still very well known.
