Why are any of the years shown for the beginning and end of mayoral terms linked? If the exact date of death (if on the job) or of swearing in is known, the complete date could be linked for formatting or to a "this day in history" page, but these are just a long series of years. --Hjal 06:32, 9 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm confused about why Mineta's term is listed as starting on Jan. 9, 1971, when an article (cited by the Wikipedia entry) says that he was elected April 13, 1971. Hcmaruyama (talk) 18:01, 14 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
