Talk:Medicine Lake National Wildlife Refuge

Even though mammals such as elk, moose, black bear, wolverine, carabou, and bobcat have at times been sighted in this area they by no means are considered to populate the area. Other mammals that are common to the area are fox, coyote, badger, and white-tail deer as well as a long list of water foul and land foul.

Hunting around the wildlife refuge is regulated through the purchase of hunting licenses and by hunting seasons. Fishing for northern pike in Medicine Lake is also common year round although mototized boats are prohibitted on the lake.
