Are the allegations that were made yesterday against Megan by her former photographer notable to be included in this article? NintendoTTTEfan2005 (talk) 14:52, 26 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Please read WP:BLP and WP:RS. An accusation of this nature will need to be backed up by reliable, independent third party sources to be included on the article. If you have said sources, please provide them. CAMERAwMUSTACHE (talk) 17:30, 26 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The lawsuit is not a sexual abuse lawsuit. It is an employment lawsuit that alleges Megan's management company incorrectly classified Garcia as an independent contractor. The libelous claim of sexual abuse needs to be removed immediately. StarlightCalliope (talk) 18:03, 30 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Well the suit claims that he was forced to watch Megan and another woman have sex, which when you look up the definition of a sexual abuse, this seems to fit it. and also, he alleges that she told him to "Not tell anyone about this", which is another crime in of itself. But Garcia also claims that he was underpaid and overworked, and also alleges that he was fat shamed. I am extremely surprised that I was the first one to bring this stuff up considering when you just google "Megan Thee Stallion" right now, articles talking about this case are at the top. NintendoTTTEfan2005 (talk) 05:14, 1 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Consider letting someone else write about the lawsuit because you seem inclined to write about what you think happened, and not what the lawsuit is actually about. I cannot make any changes myself as the article is semi-protected and my account is too new. StarlightCalliope (talk) 15:50, 1 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I get that calling this 'sexual abuse' is considered libelous, but the LA Times article quotes from Emilio Garcia's lawyer "Emilio should have never been put in a position of having to be in a vehicle with her while she had sex with another woman. 'Inappropriate' is putting it lightly. Exposing this behavior to employees is definitely illegal." I am not trying to argue that this is what happened, I am just pointing out what I found. The opinions of a court reporter are irrelevant, especially prior to hearings. She is not the judge assigned to the case. Instantwatym (talk) 18:24, 9 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Did I not state that it is a self-published opinion piece? StarlightCalliope (talk) 20:23, 9 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You brought the opinion piece up for a reason though; as if it some relevance to the lawsuit but it does not. The lawsuit and allegations should be included in the article per WP:DUE. I will add it to the legal disputes section with a seperate subheading in due time. Instantwatym (talk) 15:31, 16 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
