Photo?[edit]

Would someone be able to take an exterior photo of a Meier & Frank store before the chain is converted to Macy's in August 2006? J2rome 07:38, 14 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Content removal[edit]

The content removed under the auspices of WP:NOTDIR, does not fail that policy. The list of former locations does not fall within the 5 categories of the policy's subsection on Not a Directory, nor does it fall within the spirit of that policy. And, further, each of the five give examples of when content similar to these can be included. Aboutmovies (talk) 07:51, 19 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

History[edit]

"The building restored with little attention to historical accuracy paid to the interior. The lower five floors and basement are now occupied by Macy's." That is an understatement. I was working there when the mirrors were removed from the columns on the main floor, revealing the Art Deco ornamentation on the old columns. The only real effort that I noticed was the big clock. The Construction Manager for Federated Department Stores made sure that clock was carefully packed up and stored away for to be reinstalled after the renovations. Although I avoid downtown Portland, I found myself there one afternoon and cut through to take a look. Everything was flat, smooth and white, the very definition of bland. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.160.82.68 (talk) 03:57, 19 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
