This article is poorly written and probably needs to be redone completely. The english is ... awful. Chris 10:54, 30 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It is also completely innacurate. The Magistrates' Court can deal with quite serious matters, including intentionally causing injury, recklessly causing serious injury, some aggravated burglary charges and thefts/deceptions up to $100,000 per charge. I agree with Chris, the site needs to be completely redone.
The Melbourne Magistrates' Court (MMC) is simply a venue of the Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV). The material on this page is relevant to the MCV as a whole and makes no practical sense when linked to the venue of Melbourne alone. Agree with the comments above - poorly written and the whole page should be attributed with the MCV.
