Relations between Poland and the GDR[edit]

I don't know whether it's worth mentioning in the article, but 1972 was probably the high point of relations between the GDR and Poland (they instituted visa-free travel, among other things), with Erich Honecker and Edward Gierek both relatively new and popular. Perhaps "Built amid a climate of improving relations between East Germany and Poland..."? I'll think about it. ProhibitOnions ^(T) 19:59, 18 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
